Our Artists

Behind our beautiful cards are wonderful Finnish illustrators who, with their own artistic vision, bring joy and beauty to people's everyday life and celebrations. Each illustrator has their own unique style and story, which makes Putinki cards special and personal. These talented artists draw their inspiration from a wide range of sources, including nature, seasons, everyday moments and festive moods, and combine traditional and modern techniques to create inspiring images.

Henna Adel

Henna Adel, known for her popular bunny illustration, traditionally paints the pictures with watercolors, after which she scans them into the computer for editing. Learning an image processing program has really made her work a lot easier when for example, elements can be combined with each other. She gets ideas for her subjects from anywhere like interior design magazines or image banks. Cooperation with Putinki has continued for ten years now, and her art is widely appreciated in the form of beautiful and delightful cards.

Mira Mallius

Kaisu Sandberg

Her style is recognizable by the delicious color palette and sweet everyday subjects. Colorful buildings, green plants and cats often appear in his illustrations. Making things with her hands is natural to her, so in his spare time you can find Kaisu at the pottery workshop or by the flower bed.

Johanna Ilander

Johanna Ilander is an illustrator and graphic designer living in Helsinki. Johanna skillfully often includes small stories and everyday moments in her pictures. Her style is playful, rich and feminine, almost always including a touch of humor. Johanna loves different patterns and textures and uses them quite a lot in her illustrations. At the moment, she is particularly fond of the surface, which looks like it has been painted with oil paints.

Polka Paper

Polka Paper is the design studio of illustrators Kristiina Haapalainen and Sami Vähä-Aho. Kristiina and Sami live and work on Kimito Island, and the nature of the archipelago, the seashores, and the seasons are the main sources of inspiration for their illustrations.

Aini Mäensivu

The founder of Kalligrafiastudio, Aini Mäensivu, is a creative entrepreneur, a traveler and a pioneer of modern calligraphy in Finland. Aini's passion is beautiful letters, and she designs lovely cards and paper products written in calligraphy for Putinki. She wants to spread the love for calligraphy and writing by hand, reminding that the hand-drawn line and its demanding slowness is valuable in a world that is increasingly digital and fast-paced. Aini also teaches calligraphy at courses, events and companies - so far more than 2000 people have found beautiful letters with Aini's help.

Sari Pohjola

Sari Pohjola has been drawing since she was a child and wanted to draw and make all the cards herself from an early age. She bought her first watercolors on her Interrail trip in Venice, Italy, and immediately started trying them there, falling in love with the soft colors they could hear. The colors have remained on her journey ever since. Sari started the Pori Art School in the evenings during high school, and there she also gained experience in various other techniques. Sari gets inspiration from everyday and festive moments, beautiful things, flowers, nature, seasons, beautiful houses and interiors. She also loves to paint Christmas-themed pictures and children's themes, such as bunnies and teddy bears.
