Skandino's Business to Putinki Art Oy

Vamos Natural Finland Oy and Putinki Art Oy have agreed on cooperation, whereby the Skandino® product family will become part of Putinki Art Oy's business. According to the agreement, Putinki Art will receive the rights to manufacture, market, sell, and distribute Skandino products. Skandino is a Midinvest portfolio company, and its significant owner is the company's founder Emmi Lemmetty.
"Skandino® complements Putinki Art's selection with an interesting Finnish product family that has a strong story and international potential. Our goal is to improve product availability and increase sales both in Finland and in international markets," says Kalevi Koistinen, Business Director of Lehtipiste Oy.
"Skandino was born from the desire to combine Finnish product development, practical design, and more sustainable material solutions into the everyday lives of families with children. Putinki Art's strong commercial expertise and distribution network provide an opportunity to offer our products to a wider range of customers and new markets," says Emmi Lemmetty, founder of Vamos Natural Finland Oy.

The partnership now formed with Putinki Art, which belongs to the Lehtipiste Group, is a natural next step for the company in terms of scaling up and internationalization," states Jarkko Danska from Midinvest.
Skandino® is a Finnish brand focusing on children's and adults' dining products. The product family includes children's and adults' dining utensils and dishes, especially illustrated with Moomin characters. Skandino® products are made from bio-plastic derived from natural materials, with 94% plant-based raw materials. All products are manufactured in Finland.

Putinki's new CEO

Liisa Idänpään-Heikkilä (M.Sc. in Economics) will start as Putinki Oy's new CEO in February 2021.
Liisa has a strong background in marketing, sales, and design. Liisa joins Putinki from Nanso Group Oy, where she worked as Marketing and E-commerce Director and a member of the management team. "It's great to be part of the Putinki team. Putinki has strong roots and a loyal customer base, yet at the same time, immense potential for growth. Local production and authenticity appeal to today's consumer. In this role, I am particularly motivated by the determined development of the business and increasing brand awareness together with resellers, illustrators, and other partners."
The Putinki team enthusiastically welcomes Liisa to strengthen and lead the team.
Putinki returns to its roots - New store in Hakaniemi starting December 1, 2020

Established in 1973 in Hakaniemi Market Hall, Putinki Oy returns to its roots and will open a stationery and gift shop in Ympyrätalo starting December 1, 2020. The shop will offer a wonderfully wide selection of cards, notebooks, calendars, office supplies, and interior decoration and gift items. A special source of joy for us is offering children high-quality and unique products, from games to activity books.
Putinki's core idea from the beginning has been to delight and inspire people in their everyday lives through insightful design. We also wanted to realize this idea in the visual appearance of our new store's windows through the delightful illustrations designed by Mira Mallius. The store design was overseen by visual merchandiser Virve Arvola.
In all our own production, important values include Finnish design and manufacturing products as locally as possible. For example, we produce our unique letterpress cards in our own premises on Hämeentie, and the letterpress Moomin cards with their lovely quotes have already become true classics. In terms of other selections and imports, we also favor small producers and unique products.
In addition to Hakaniemi, consumers can enjoy the charming atmosphere of Putinki's stationery shops in Ullanlinna and Töölö. Our online store serves customers throughout Finland at www.putinki.fi, and our products can also be ordered to Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria.
