Liquitex Recycled Canvas is a sustainable alternative to the traditional canvas base. It is well suited for both acrylic and oil painters. The fabric is made from 100% recycled bottles. This helps to reduce plastic waste in the seas and also to reduce the use of new raw materials. The wooden frame is FSC-certified wood, and the packaging film and cardboard are also made from recycled material. The fabric is gessoed three times and has the same flexibility and painting feel as the cotton base. The fabric made from recycled plastic is slightly heavier than cotton, so the weight of the fabric is 565 g/m². The light resistance of Liquitex Recycled canvas has been tested in a laboratory and it is in museum conditions and it lasts for 100 years without yellowing or changing color."
