Finnish national stamp 5 pcs - It's better together

The Valentine's Day stamps show happy friends doing all sorts of fun things together. The colorful stamps designed by Minna Lehväslaiho show them riding a wheelbarrow, playing yard games, knitting, reading, and cooking together.

"Since Valentine's Day in Finland is specifically a day of friendship, the signs depict friendship, not romantic love. Hanging out is much more enjoyable with friends than alone. For example, cooking together can be quality time for friends or family," says Lehväslaiho.

According to Lehväslaiho, designing the stamps was a fun process that took about six months. “I made sketches of the stamps in pencil and partly digitally. I got good help from Posti in reducing the illustrations so that they would work on the stamps,” Lehväslaiho says.

Together is better - stamps are sold in sheets of 5. Date of issue 15.1.2025.  

A domestic permanent stamp is a stamp that you can use to mail letters and cards in Finland. As the name suggests, a permanent stamp is always valid. With one domestic permanent stamp, you can mail a letter weighing up to 50 grams. For heavier letters, you will need several permanent stamps.
