Come join us in celebrating 80 years of Moomin history! 2025 will mark 80 years since the first Moomin story, The Moomin and the Great Flood, was published in 1945. Written by Tove Jansson during World War II, the story comforted her during her darkest times, and it reflects the reality of millions of people who were displaced.

Moomin House is a symbol of safety, protection and togetherness – a place where everyone is welcome, whenever they arrive. These are universal and timeless needs. They are as true today as they were 80 years ago.
