Finnish commemorative stamp 5 pcs - Bringers of Happiness
The illustrations for the spring greeting stamps are by Klaus Haapaniemi, one of the leading names in Finnish design. The stamps feature mystical animals that bring good luck, resembling birds and fish.
Haapaniemi's style is influenced by Finnish tradition and the Kalevala. His work reflects a rich Slavic culture alongside a more subdued Japanese expression.
“In a way, I have reinvented classic patterns and a style like, for example, the Russian avant-garde, which is based on a very geometric design language,” Haapaniemi says.
Bringers of Good Luck stamps are sold in sheets of 5. Date of issue: 7.5.2025.
A domestic permanent stamp is a stamp that you can use to mail letters and cards in Finland. As the name suggests, a permanent stamp is always valid. With one domestic permanent stamp, you can mail a letter weighing up to 50 grams. For heavier letters, you will need several permanent stamps.
