Ink 30ml Nan King LB - Black

Lefranc & Bourgeois inks are made from water-soluble dyes combined with gum lacquer to bind the product together. This gives the ink its water-repellent nature and a glossy finish if applied thickly. The colour is ready to use straight from the bottle but can be diluted with water to make it more translucent. Distilled water must be used to dilute the ink to prevent the dye from separating from the binding agent. All colours can be mixed with each other.

Drawing inks are not archival and belong to lightfastness class C. They should not be used in works intended for display in illuminated areas. Exceptions are black and white, and gold and silver. Dip pens and brushes are recommended for applying Drawing Inks. They should be cleaned during use. If the inks dry, denatured alcohol and warm soapy water can be used to dissolve the colour. Because gum lacquer is used as a binding agent, Drawing Inks are not suitable for use in fountain pens.
