Promarker pens were originally designed for comic and manga drawing, but due to their excellent ink quality, they are also perfectly suited for coloring drawings and stamped images, as well as for other drawing purposes. The Promarker pen's output is smooth, and the colored areas seem to blend together, resulting in a "streak-free" and neat finish. The pens have two different nibs: a narrower drawing nib for precise work and a wider, chisel-tipped coloring nib. Additional effects can be created on top of a dry inked surface with Promarker pens of different shades or with watercolor pencils, ink pens, paint markers, or any color whose pigment is sufficient to cover the Promarker pen's mark. Promarker pens are non-toxic and alcohol-based. The pens are not acid-free, so they are not recommended for use with photographs. The pens should be stored horizontally, with the cap carefully closed. Storing them horizontally ensures that the ink inside the pen is evenly distributed to both ends, making both nibs ready for immediate use. When stored correctly and used on the right kind of paper, the colors last a long time, and the pen nibs do not "fray".
