Klaus Welp has made a significant career in stamps. With the latest Taste of summer stamp, he has designed a total of 115 stamps for Posti since 2008. “A stamp is a great institution in itself and a small work of art. Over the years, stamps have strengthened Finland's positive identity; culture, environmental themes and even tolerance,” Welp estimates.

Klaus Welp is a multi-talented visual artist whose work includes graphic design, illustration, photography and directing. His illustrations are familiar from many Finnish newspapers and magazines. He has also actively participated in projects of several non-governmental organizations, including Greenpeace. Welp is also known for his counter-advertising activities in 2005–2017.

The Taste of Summer stamps are sold in sheets of 5. Date of issue 17.1.2024.

A domestic permanent stamp is a stamp that you can use to mail letters and cards in Finland. As the name suggests, a permanent stamp is always valid. With one domestic permanent stamp, you can mail a letter weighing up to 50 grams. For heavier letters, you will need several permanent stamps.
