Domestic stamp 5 pcs - Spring Dreams

Jenni Tuominen has illustrated spring stamps for Posti, which are suitable for various greetings throughout the year. The pastel-colored stamps depicting animals, flowers and people convey the feeling of joy associated with spring.

Studio Jenni & Jukka is responsible for the graphic design of the stamps. Designing the spring stamps was a favorite assignment for Tuominen. “I drew several dozen black and white proposals, five of which made it to the final round. I made some adjustments to the illustrations before I started thinking about the color scheme, which turned out to be just the right cuteness to bring joy and positivity to the stamps. I hope that the stamps convey the feeling of happiness that I felt while making them.”

Spring means a new beginning for Jenni Tuominen, as winter fades and nature awakens to new bloom. “Every spring I look forward to going to the cottage to see what’s happening in the garden. I don’t always remember what I planted in the fall, and I eagerly await the wonderful surprises that will emerge from the ground. The first daffodils and tulips are especially delightful.”

Tuominen has designed prints for Marimekko since 2006. She received the Finnish State Prize for Illustration in 2017. Tuominen is currently particularly passionate about ceramics. There is also growing interest in Jenni's work in the Asian market.
